After finding out that his uncle/caregiver Ian Rider was killed in an automobile accident, fourteen year old Alex begins to investigate his uncle's death. He learns that his uncle was not a banker, but worked as an undercover agent for the legendary MI6 intelligence agency. When the agency learns that Ian Rider was essentially training Alex for agency work, they recruit him to to finish the work that his uncle had started.
