Catching Fire
After the shocking conclusion in the first book of the series, the winners of the annual Hunger Games are mandated to go on a victory tour of the twelve districts. During the tour, both Peeta and Katniss learn more about the political structure of the Capitol and the districts that support it. The young heroes also learn a very surprising fact that there is an undercurrent of rebellion in many of the districts and they see Katniss as their inspiration. As Katniss and Peeta prepare to mentor their tributes for the 75th Annual Hunger Games, they are horrified to find out that in honor of the Quarter Quell, President Snow has decided that these games will be special- they will be played by past winners of the Hunger Games.
